Sometimes when you have sewer damage, sewage water can get into your crawl space. When SERVPRO is called to deal with this type of situation we start by extracting all the sewage water because it can be toxic for the occupants of the home. Next we remove to dirt below that cant be dried, then begin drying the affected area. After the area is dried we spray heavy duty cleaning products and other chemicals to get rid of any odors or left over sewage. Finally we sand the wooden beams and encapsulate it with a paint to ensure that any possible leftover sewage isn't exposed.
